Seditionist (9/23/12)

Many bands have big dreams but don't show their will to work for them. Seditionist on the other hand has been playing all over non-stop and showing anyone and everyone that they will be heard.

From West Covina, Seditionist is deathcore band that has been in the game for only a short period of time. The band is Aaron Garcia on the mic, Anthony Covarrubias and Joseph Madrid on guitars, Gabriel Ramos on bass and Gabriel Garcia on the drums. The group has been making a name for themselves all across the Los Angeles area and has shared the stage with such bands as Volumes, Hundredth, In The Midst of Lions, Molotov Solution, Bury Your Dead and many others as well as many locals bands know them and have shared the stage too.

Seditionist released a demo titled Trapped last year which their track Patience that featured Gus Furias of Volumes got a lot of attention. The band just self-released their new EP Memento Mori made available on iTunes. The EP shows major growth in the band as a more diverse sound.

Face Your Maker (9/21/12)

Hailing from Los Angeles, Face Your Maker brings a sound that you would think has been coming from this group a lot longer than only a few years. Face Your Maker is composed of Jonathan Patino on vocals, Kiki Molina on guitar, Ramses Molina on bass and Christian Patino on drums.

Not many know much of the band but those that have seen them live know they get the crowd going. The group has played many shows from local backyard shows to big events and fests. The group has released a demo last year and this year is releasing their debut EP Dissolution in October. I actually got the pleasure to preview this upcoming EP and I must say it is up there in ranks with bands like Eat A Helicopter, Goliath and King Conquer.

I must say that the band has a unique brand of heaviness that combines sounds of death metal and heavy/beatdown hardcore. I'm sure that their debut Dissolution will please any metal fan. Below is a preview of the EP, thanks to the band for providing it!

End of Truth (9/20/12)

Many bands rise and fall from the Los Angeles area and some never even get to see the light but the very few that make it beyond are still alive and kicking in the local scene and one of the upcoming ground breakers is End of Truth.

Coming out of East Los Angeles, The band comprises of Julian on vocals, Eddie on drums, Frankie and Lenny on guitars, Randy on bass and Danny on keyboards. End of Truth formed in 2011 from former No Shame In Dying members, Eddie and Frankie. They wanted to take a new approach on music and for other reasons decided to part ways with with their original band. What came to be End of Truth began writing music and in no time they recruited Lenny from the band Rise of Yesterday as second guitarist. Frankie asked  Julian from Lay Down Your Guns to fill in as vocalist. In no time, Randy from No Shame In Dying heard of End of Truth and decided to join the newly formed group as well.

With a full line up, the band was ready to embark on their journey. End of Truth played their first show in April 22, 2011 and since then, the band has improved greatly and is now playing bigger shows at venues such as The Whiskey A Go Go, The Cobalt Cafe, Suzy’s Bar and Grill, The Airliner, The Seaport Marina, Studio Danza, The Blvd and Malone’s Bar and Grill.

They have shared the stage with well-known acts such as As Blood Runs Black, Winds of Plague, Molotov Solution, No Bragging Rights, Lionheart, Carnifex, Rings of Saturn, Fit For A King, and I Declare War. The most recent change to End of Truth was the addition of Danny as their keyboard player. The band is now more than ready to give their local scene and fans a different sound.

A Deadly Wish (9/19/12)

It is rare to find a unique band in your own backyard, well a farther and bigger backyard but still farely local and definitely a known name in this area. Today I bring you the upcoming Metalcore giants, A Deadly Wish.

A Deadly Wish is a five-piece Metalcore group hailing from Southern California consisting of Remy Brunone & Diego Grano, both playing explosive lead & rythym guitar, Eddie Fernandez using all five strings on bass, Jeremy Middleton on drums and Jesse Riggi bringing a well rounded unique style of vocals.

A Deadly Wish started in 2009 in Fontana, CA. The band put out an EP entitled " Through Pain Comes Glory" that same year. after playing a handful of shows, the band ran into line up issues and went into hiatus through 2010-2011. After finding two members that fully solidified the band, they began practicing twice a week and within two months, they were back on track. Now based out of San Pedro, the band finished out 2011 with local shows and after a long eight months of playing nonstop shows, A Deadly Wish is stronger than ever. They released an EP titled "The Last Gathering" in February.

After that they returned into the studio once again in August 2012 at Love Juice Studios in Riverside, CA. A Deadly Wish recorded two new songs that they are set to release. One is titled "Kill of the Fears" which debuted September, 12 and the other new song is set to release October 2012. Keep an eye out for it and coming this winter, the group are set to hit the studio for the third time to record their EP which will be coming out late December or January. They are working hard to write some new music so expect a lot of new things to come from A Deadly Wish.

Legends Shall Fall (9/17/12)

Sorry everyone for the delayed post, had some things to take care of but here is the first post and some insight on my friends who may not be local from the San Gabriel Valley area but are constant show locals. Meet Legends Shall Fall.

Legends Shall Fall is a five-piece Deathcore band from Moreno Valley, California. Formed in late 2008 by guitarist Josh Williams and former guitarist Nestor, Legends Shall Fall has been dedicated to the local scene playing everything from small living rooms to huge venues.

In 2010, current drummer Ramon Lopez and bassist Robbie Phillips joined the band and helped write all new songs and recorded an EP. Legends Shall Fall has played many shows in their career including the fourth and fifth annual California Metalfests, third annual December Decimation, 2011 Summer Slaughter, The All Stars Tour and December To Remember Festival!

Keep on the look out for their debut full length album entitled "The End of Humanity" which is due out this fall as well as new merchandise.I see big things for this band.
