Empires (10/2/12)

Not many people know much about this band but they have been in the game for a bit now. Originally forming in 2008 out of East Los Angeles but now residing in the Inland Empire, Empires have been destroying the hardcore scene.

Empires is a five-piece beatdown hardcore band featuring members Fidel on vocals, Memo and Luis on guitars, Richard on bass and Nathan on drums. With so many lineup problems (yeah, they are usually the downfall of many bands) the band thought they were going to face their end early. They fought through it and have the lineup they do today and now are really working through out the Southern California area playing anywhere and everywhere.

The band put out an EP this year titled "Nowhere to Turn" recorded by Michael Montoya of Goliath at Sound Temple Studios and mixed and mastered by Andrew Glover of Winds of Plague at The Treehouse Recording Company. I suggest everyone who is a fan of Murder Death Kill, Brutality Will Prevail and other good hardcore to check them out!

  1. That's what's up, my homeboys doing it right. I was their manager from 08-09. Good review
