The Modern Prometheus (10/5/12)

After spending one of my band's tour dates sharing a stage with these guys, I felt like they deserved a lot more recognition than what they were receiving so I bring to you today something new and refreshing.

The Modern Prometheus is a melodic deathcore band that originates from Fullerton, California. The band was founded in 2010 by members Rodolfo Calderon, Robert DeVito, and David Vasquez, and later joined Allen Vannordstrand and Jimmy Steedman. After many local shows and pre-production in the studio in 2011, The Modern Prometheus parted ways with vocalist Jimmy Steedman only to pick up experienced vocalist Tommy McCarthy who got his fame from well known deathcore band Knights Of The Abyss.

After re-writing their EP with the band's new vocalist, The Modern Prometheus finished up their first album in June of 2012 with Isaiah Pritchard at Juggernaut Recordings and put it up for free download in July 2012 on their Reverbnation page. The EP received high reviews from many online outlets such as Pure Deathcore, Total Deathcore and Steve Shoots Shows.

The Modern Prometheus is currently unsigned, in high hopes of joining a record label soon here after.
